Capability

Definition: Measures the contact's skill and effectiveness in their occupation.

Levels and Costs

Snitch: Capability of 5 + 1D10. Cost: 5 points.
Incapable: Capability of 10 + 1D10. Cost: 10 points.
Capable: Capability of 15 + 1D10. Cost: 15 points.
Very Capable: Capability of 20 + 1D10. Cost: 25 points.
Super Capable: Capability of 25 + 1D10. Cost: 40 points.

Usage: The referee rolls 1D10 and adds the contact's Capability Number to see if they can help with a task.

Reputation

Definition: Indicates the contact's influence and connections in their field.

Levels and Costs

Reputation 0-2: Narrow involvement within their field. Cost: x0.5.
Reputation 3-5: Typical involvement within their field. Cost: x1.0.
Reputation 6-8: Wide involvement within their field. Cost: x1.5.
Reputation 9-10: Expansive involvement within their field. Cost: x2.0.

Application: Determines how well-connected and influential the contact is.

Availability

Definition: Measures how often and easily the contact can be reached.

Levels and Costs

Seldom Available: LUCK + 1D10 vs. 18. Cost: x0.5.
Sometimes Available: LUCK + 1D10 vs. 12. Cost: x1.0.
Often Available: LUCK + 1D10 vs. 8. Cost: x1.5.
Always Available: LUCK + 1D10 vs. 5. Cost: x2.0.

Contacting: The method of contacting (phone, Net, meeting place) and willingness to help. A LUCK-based roll determines availability, made once per day.

Reliability

Definition: Measures how trustworthy and dependable the contact is.

Levels and Costs

Unreliable: May deceive or betray if Capability roll fails. Cost: x0.5.
Reliable: Cannot help if Capability roll fails, may deceive on critical failure. Cost: x1.0.
Very Reliable: Suggests trying again in 1D6+1 days if Capability roll fails. Cost: x1.5.
Super Reliable: Will definitely help in 1D6+1 days if initial Capability roll fails. Cost: x2.0.

Trust issues: Reflects the possibility of failure, deception, or betrayal.
