Corporate

In the Cyberpunk world, Corporations rule everything—governments, markets, nations, and armies. As a junior executive, you're on the fast track, climbing the corporate ladder amidst a cutthroat environment filled with sabotage, bribery, and blackmail. Your survival depends on navigating corporate politics and securing your position while managing high-stakes projects that range from productivity schedules to black ops missions. The pressure is immense, and ethics are often compromised. Every decision you make could be the difference between rising to power or being eliminated.

Skill: Resources

Effect: Resources represent your ability to command corporate assets and persuade the company to provide what you need. This includes bodyguards, weapons, vehicles, buildings, money, and more. The higher your Resources, the more you can requisition without overreaching. Resources apply to your INT stat.

Bonuses:

  • Starting Assets: Begin with an apartment/residence, car, clothes, and other equipment, totaling the value of Resource ability squared times 500 eb. This benefit is only available while employed by the corporation.
  • Skill Enhancements: Gain a bonus equal to one-third (round down) of the Resource ability added to the following skills:
    • Social
    • Style
    • Persuasion & Fast Talk
  • Contacts: You receive Contact points equal to ((Resources x 2) squared) / 2. These points are used to create NPC contacts, distributed across the following areas:

  • Equipment & Personnel Acquisition: Use Resources to acquire equipment and personnel. The cash value and difficulty of acquisition are as follows:
    • Easy (10): 1-5000eb
    • Average (15): 5001-25,000eb
    • Difficult (20): 25,001-100,000eb
    • Very Difficult (25): 100,001-500,000eb
    • Nearly Impossible (30): 500,001+eb

The Corp can add their Leadership or Fast Talk + Persuasion skills (without the Resource bonus) to the roll. Availability of equipment is restricted:

    • Excellent and Common: Always available
    • Poor: Requires a Difficult (20) test
    • Rare: Requires a Nearly Impossible (30) test

The number of personnel you can call upon is based on your Resource level squared.
